The Bible is, without a doubt, one of the most important and influential sets of writings in the history of the human race. It is fundamental to the Christian faith, and underpins much of Western culture, but even among Christians it is often not well understood, and sometimes it is not even read regularly. The goal of this course will be to explore the background and nature of the Bible, to think carefully about how we as Christians can and should engage with it, and to provide some practical tools to help us read it with greater sensitivity and understanding.
