What To Do Next When It All Goes Wrong

June 21, 2020 • Brad Mortenson

One of the great blessings of Exodus is it shows us the weaknesses and failures of God's people, and God's mercy and goodness in response to them. After failing by embracing the worship of a golden calf instead of the worship of the God who delivered them from Egypt, Israel is once again taken by God in covenant as His special people. As God once again gives them the covenant, He tells them how to follow Him in a way that is both good for their souls and protects them in light of their failures and frailties. The guidance God gives them is good for our souls as followers of Jesus today grapple with our own weaknesses and failures also.
