Today, we celebrate the Ascension of Christ - the completion of Christ's earthly ministry when his resurrected body was brought up into heaven and his disciples began to prepare for Pentecost when they would become Christ's body on earth. But more than just one event in the life of Christ, the Ascension marks a turning point in the history of the universe, as a human being now sits on the throne of God!
