Come Holy Spirit!

The Holy Spirit has come! Last week we celebrated the church receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This week, we turn to how the Church is called to be the bearers of the Holy Spirit for the sake of the world! We will be reminded that the Spirit makes us into something new - an order of priests for the sake of all creation - and think about what this calling means when we find ourselves surrounded by a world that seems to be falling apart. We hope you will join us inside at 8:00am, or outdoors for a special worship celebration at 10am, followed by a community picnic.

After five years serving as our Associate Pastor, this Sunday marks Pastor Ian’s final worship service here at Wesley Freedom. We hope you will join us as we celebrate his time here with us and pray for him as he prepares to begin his new appointment as the Pastor of Linden-Linthicum UMC on July 1. Pastor Ian will share some parting wisdom to us in a sermon titled “A Final Lecture: 10 Things to Remember.” Be sure to come back from 12:00-2:00pm for a reception in his honor in the CLC. This Sunday also begins our Summer Breakout Sunday School at 9:30. Children pre-k - 5th grade will begin in worship and then have the option to leave the sanctuary for a lesson after the Children’s Moment.
