On Easter morning, Christ was raised from the dead. This week, as we continue the Church's 50-day celebration of Christ's Resurrection, we give thanks to God that we don't have to wait until Judgment Day to live as a resurrection people; we begin our resurrected life in spirit now! This Sunday's sermon will consider what it means to live as a resurrection people in this life.

This Sunday Pastor Jenny will offer her final message as she prepares to begin Sabbatical leave. Her message will encourage us to claim "Holy Ground" as we work and play this summer. We will consider how we can stop, look, and listen for the Lord's movement so that our next steps will be in God's direction. Our summer campers will share a bit of their experience at each service.

We have spent this last program year walking through the Bible, taking a new book each week (with a few breaks for holidays) and this Sunday we have finally reached The Book of Revelation! This final book in the Christian Bible is full of some of the most incredible imagery in the whole canon - God and angels in heaven, a war against the Great Dragon and his forces, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the New Heaven & New Earth being made for us to live in for eternity. But Revelation is as mysterious as its imagery is compelling. So, how do we make sense of this scriptural book? And what does all of this talk of angels & demons, dragons & horsemen mean for us today?

This Sunday we CELEBRATE Pentecost, the birthday of the church! We will welcome the Holy Spirit to move among us to claim us, call us, and empower us to live out God's promises in the world. We will welcome new adult members to our family and we will affirm Pastor Ian's ordination and pray for him as he begins serving in his new status as an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church.
