Cross = Healing Proverbs 13:12, Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. 1. Grieving is a gift “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 2. Share your grief "Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died." John 11:21 Two are better than one,     because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down,     one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls     and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.     But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered,     two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 “it is ok, to not be ok.” 3. Grief is not the final destination 55“Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 Psalm 30:5, Weeping may endure the night, but joy comes in the morning.” 4. Let others drink from your well. Psalm 107:35 He turned the desert into pools of water     and the parched ground into flowing springs;

The Cross = courage Numbers 13:26-33 1. The difficult will distract us from the good. 2. Our opposition is God’s opportunity. 3. Faith-filled instead of fearful Numbers 14: 7  and said to the entire Israelite assembly, “The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good.  8  If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.  9  Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” Numbers 14:11 “The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them?” Numbers 14:24 But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it. Joshua 14:8 but my fellow Israelites who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear. I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.

Cross = Unity Number 12:1-15 1. Racism exists. 2. Racism is sin. Matthew 24:14 : “This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Revelation 5:9 “And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. 3. The cross brings unity. Galatians 2:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,
