1. God loves you. “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 2. God gives himself to those He loves. “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you LOVE so much , and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.” Genesis 22:2, “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5 “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:22

December 4, 2016 • Pastor Allen Bonnell

Focus on the mission of Christmas, not the mess of Christmas. 1. You have been rescued. rescued - to free from confinement, danger, or evil. Mission Christmas: Go after others. 2. You have been redeemed. Redeem - to buy out. Christmas is not what you get, but what you give. Mission Christmas: Pay for others. 3. You have been reconciled. reconcile - restore friendly relations between. We serve a forgiving God, in an unforgiving world. Mission Christmas: Forgive others. “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:18-19
