1. Determine to bring your friends to Jesus no matter what it takes
(Mark 2:1-4)
2. Have faith that Jesus is Lord over their sin and sickness
(Mark 2:5)
3. Glorify God when Jesus’ authority is displayed in their lives
(Mark 2:6-12)

I. Jesus is greater than the evil one. “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 II. Jesus is greater than sickness. James 5:14-15, Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” When Jesus exercises authority: 1. It is immediate. 2. It is complete. 3. It is different. 4. It is compassionate. We don’t believe Jesus has authority. We don’t want Jesus to have authority.
