Joel C. Gregory is the Professor of Preaching at George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University. He is also an international preacher and teacher of preaching. He is also the President of Joel Gregory Ministries. Joel holds the B.A. Summa cum Laude and the Ph.D. in religion from Baylor University. He earned the Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he also taught preaching. Among his pastorates Joel served Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth and First Baptist Church Dallas.

Joel has authored or edited eight books including Global Baptist Preaching to be released in 2014 by Baylor University Press. He has contributed to dozens of journals, anthologies and periodicals including the Abingdon Dictionary of Preaching and Our Sufficiency if of God: Essays on Preaching in Honor of Gardner Taylor.

Joel is married to Joanne Michele Gregory, an RN, graduate of Baylor University and accomplished signer for the hearing impaired. They are parents of four adult children.
