Here are a few things to meditate on:
- Abuse is never acceptable in God's eyes, and silence or inaction in the face of abuse goes against God's character and His call for justice.
- We must be vigilant in recognizing and addressing abuse in our communities, avoiding the pitfalls of "cover culture" that can exist even in religious spaces.
- Jesus provides the model for how we should respond to victims of abuse - with compassion, engagement, and a focus on their healing and value.
