Rooted: Week 9

November 5, 2023 • Pastor Phelan Rodriguez • 2 Corinthians 4:4, Matthew 16:21–23, 1 Corinthians 13:1–5

We all have a Story, a Testimony. Who writes our story? Join us this week as we continue in the Rooted Series. We all have been through, going through, and have overcome so much through God's grace. We are called to share the Gospel and that is done by sharing our story with others. Satan uses us and our strongholds to prevent people from coming to God, but God uses us and our strongholds to bring people to Himself. We are to fight against Satan when we are scared or nervous to share our Testimony with others. Our Story may be just what someone needs to hear and have their eyes open to see God.

Rooted: Week 5

October 8, 2023 • Pastor Chris Pratt • Matthew 3:16–17, Matthew 4:2–11, Luke 10:17–20

Do you feel like the enemy seems to be after you? The enemy is very real! Join us as we continue in the sermon series, Rooted. This week we dive into the Book of Matthew and see the enemy try's to separate us from God's Word and wants us to believe our identity is based on what we do. Our struggles and battles are not a reflection of how God feels about us, nor do they prove God's love for us. In order to fight demons that come into our life, we must not focus on them! We must let Jesus be the largest in our lives!

Rooted: Week 4

October 1, 2023 • Pastor Chris Pratt • 2 Corinthians 11:24–28, 2 Corinthians 12:7–9

In this powerful sermon, we dive into 2 Corinthians 11 and 12 to explore the profound message: "God, Take My Pain & Suffering Away!" We learn that following Jesus doesn't always mean escaping suffering, but rather, God uses these trials to reveal our spiritual condition. Through Paul's own experiences of hardship and pleading with the Lord to remove his "thorn in the flesh," we understand that sometimes God's answer is no, but His "No" is always attached with a promise. We discover that God's power shines brightest when we are at our lowest, and that by embracing our weaknesses, we allow the power of Christ to rest upon us. So, when faced with pain and suffering, remember to ask God for relief, surrender to His will, and trust in His power, for it is in our weaknesses that we find true strength and draw closer to Him.

Have you heard God's voice? Join us this week as we continue through the series, Rooted. This week we learn in the Book of Samuel the different ways God communicates to us. Through his creation, Godly people, or His Word, God intends to speak. God's Word is the clearest path to hear God's voice and know God's will. To be more Godly, we must drown out the lies of the world and open up truth! Grab a pen and notepad to write down ways to listen to God's voice and make listening to God's voice a daily practice in our lives. Don't just be willing to hear from God, be willing to obey what God tells you.
