As we continue looking at our purpose in a ‘Christ-First’ world, we realise that our purpose is more than ‘doing’, that our ultimate purpose is about our response to what Christ has done for us. Looking at Romans 12:1, we see that while Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice for our sins, we are called to offer ourselves as a sacrifice of praise.

Which world do you live in? Do you live in a ‘Me-First’ world or a ‘Christ-First’ world? Understanding and answering this question will determine how we fulfil the purposes God has for us. Looking at John 12:20-27 and Jesus’ own words, this first part of a two-part talk challenges us to assess which world we truly live in and what our purpose should be.
