Real People, Real Problems Esther 1-10 Esther 4:14, “If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” If and when you face real problems that impact your family, your community, or your nation… There is no better time than NOW…to act on behalf of God and His people. There is no better opportunity than an impossibility…for God to show up. There is no better person than you…for God to use to change a situation. There is no better action than fasting and prayer…to prepare you to be part of God’s strategy for breakthrough. Follow us on Twitter: @viewpointchurch Questions for Community Groups: 1. How did the story of Esther positively change your perspective toward a current problem you face? 2. What misconceptions have you had about prayer or fasting that have kept you from seeing them as action steps in breakthrough? 3. What misconception about yourself has kept you from being used by God? 4. Is there any cause or problem that God is asking you to be a part of bringing healing or change? Explain.

David and Goliath

God is capable of doing anything he wants. He is more powerful than anyone or anything. "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you with the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands". (1 Samuel 17:45-46) When a problem or difficultly or giant comes your way, remember what God has done in the past. "You shall remember the way your God lead you 40 years in the wilderness, remember that you were a slave in Egypt but he brought you out with his mighty hand and his outstretched arm". (Deuteronomy 8:2, 5:15, 7:17-18, Psalm 102:8) God will use what little you have--your strength, your experience and He will magnify them. "This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds in the wild animals in the whole world will know that there is a God and Israel". (1 Samuel 17:46; John 6:9)
