(Numbers 6:22-27 csb) The Lord spoke to Moses: 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. You should say to them, 24 “May the Lord bless you and protect you; 25 may the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 may the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace.”’ 27 In this way they will pronounce my name over the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
The Priestly Blessing
1. Our greatest responsibility is to reveal the persons of God to the person we bless.
(Psalms 22:30-31 nkjv) A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, 31 They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, That He has done this.
2. What we initiate in our family today will permeate through generations to come.
3. The reach of his blessing is not restricted to the capacity of our understanding.
(Psalm 139:7-10 csb) Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. 9 If I fly on the wings of the dawn and settle down on the western horizon, 10 even there your hand will lead me; your right hand will hold on to me.
