Deliberate Prayers - The Irrevocable Contract

January 28, 2024 • Luke 15:11–24

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

Point One: Our Contract with Christ Doesn't Come without Conflict.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

Point Two: Our Disobedience doesn’t Dissolve the Contract (because it was written in Blood)

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Point Three: Our contract of *Salvation gives us *Eternity and an *Opportunity to leave behind a Legacy.

Deliberate Prayers - Praying in a Predicament

January 21, 2024 • Pastor Chad Hunt • Job 23:1–12

https://linktr.ee/virtualvh Praying in a Predicament   Job 23:1-3 Then Job spoke again: 2 “My complaint today is still a bitter one, and I try hard not to groan aloud. 3 If only I knew where to find God, I would go to his court. Job 23: 8-12 I go east, but he is not there. I go west, but I cannot find him. 9 I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden. I look to the south, but he is concealed. 10 “But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. 11 For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. 12 I have not departed from his commands. Job 23:1-4 Then Job spoke again: 2 “My complaint today is still a bitter one, and I try hard not to groan aloud. 3 If only I knew where to find God, I would go to his court. 4 I would lay out my case and present my arguments.  1. There’s Nothing Harder than Facing Adversity in the Absence of God’s Presence  Job 23: 8-9 I go east, but he is not there. I go west, but I cannot find him. 9 I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden. I look to the south, but he is concealed. 2. An Absent of God’s Presence doesn’t Mean He isn’t*Present. He’s Always Working Job 23:10 “But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. 3. Every Predicament has a Purpose and Every Adversity has an End

Deliberate Prayers - The Secret of Power Prayer

January 14, 2024 • Pastor Chad Hunt • Daniel 3:16–25

The Secret of Power Prayer Daniel 3:16-17 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 1. Prayer is often Birthed out of Proclamation Daniel 3:18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” 2. Prayer Requires a Posture of Pleasing God over Self Daniel 3:23 So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, securely tied, fell into the roaring flames. 3. Just Because You Fall, Doesn’t Mean the Prayer Failed Daniel 3:25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god !” 4. When You Pray, You Have to Keep Moving until You See Your Miracle

Deliberate Prayer - A Bold Approach to Prayer

January 7, 2024 • Pastor Mason Harris • Hebrews 4:14–16

https://linktr.ee/virtualvh 1. OUR CONFIDENCE COMES FROM OUR CONFESSION Hebrews 4:16 – 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens — Jesus the Son of God — let us hold fast to our confession. Hebrews 10:12 – 12 But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. 2. THE ONE WE PRAY TO UNDERSTANDS EVERYTHING WE PRAY FOR Hebrews 4:15 – 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. 3. CHRIST’S FINISHED WORK ENABLES OUR APPROACH Hebrews 10:11-12 – 11 Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins. 12 But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. Hebrews 4:16 – 16 Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need. Hebrews 7:24-25 – 24 But because he remains forever, he holds his priesthood permanently. 25 Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.
