The church is not a building. It is a gathering. There is a biblical purpose for it and it should be something that makes us glad. The gladness of heart is not tied to the things that sometimes steal our joy. It is tied to the deeper understanding of relationship with Jesus Christ and other believers.

The devil wants you to base your understanding of life upon worldly philosophies and precepts that are trendy, culturally acceptable and politically correct. This leads to moral and spiritual decline and ultimately separation from God. Jesus Christ wants us to base truth upon the unchanging Word of God that leads to life – abundant and eternal.

Starting from the promise to meet the disciples in Galilee, to delivering the Great Commission, we have been examining our general mission as believers, and introspectively as a local church. Today we will get even more personal by examining discipleship, defining it, and considering life changes necessary to be one.
How Are We Doing on Our Assignment?
Reflection is a good thing when it is focused on the right things. It helps us assess where we are at right now and re-calibrate if necessary. I want to take some time to discuss what we have accomplished at Victory Fellowship in light of the instructions Jesus Christ gave his and all future disciples of His. In doing so, we can rejoice over what has been accomplished for the kingdom and lock arms in agreement for future fruitfulness.
