People put a great deal of time and resources into going to places that are beautiful to behold (to look at). We travel great distances to see things that cannot be found anywhere else. Do we put the same effort into beholding His glory? Dr Craig challenges us that beholding Him is a purposeful thing that we intentionally choose to do. How can we choose to behold Him in our everyday life?

Encountering God through His Word

How often do you hear, read or in any way interact with the Word of God? Do you feel it's enough, too much, or too little? We learn in Genesis 1 already that the God we serve is a speaking God. When God speaks it is not just for conversation, but also creation. He speaks things into existence. His Word shapes and brings order to creation and also to our lives - even the smallest details!

In Jonah 1 we read about a different kind of encounter- one where God has less our problems in mind and more our destiny and purpose. Encounters where He calls us to certain things- the way He called Jonah to go to Nineveh. How do we respond to this kind of encounter?

There are countless stories in the Bible of men who encountered God in a way that caused them to be ALL IN. These men’s lives were completely changed and deeply impacted everyone around them. Moses and the burning bush. Joseph and his dreams. Elijah and the still small voice. God wants to encounter you in the same way, and when He does there is a CALL, a PROMISE and a RESPONSE.
