This week, we see the journey of Jesus to Jerusalem. Though the disciples had been with Jesus for a couple of years, they seemed to be blind to who Jesus was. However, when Jesus heals a man who is blind, the man seems to know who Jesus was. How is it that a blind man knew who Jesus was, but the disciples could not see?

The Journey Ends... Or Does It?

The journey in Mark ends on a cliffhanger. We find that in the end, the disciples deserted Jesus, but the Gentiles and the women believed in Jesus. But even the women were unsure of Jesus' resurrection and fled from the tomb. There is no nice conclusion to the end of the story! This week, we find that perhaps Mark did this for a reason, to ask you, "how will you follow Jesus?"

Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It

In the Mission Impossible movie series, agents would receive a message that would tell them the mission details, but would also require them to accept it in order to carry it out. Just like this series, Jesus lays out the mission in the Gospel of Mark. However, there is a cost. This week we will discover that we are called to accept this cost if we choose to follow Christ.
