As we come to the final and closing day of our “Living Sanctuary” fast, I want to speak to you about God’s ongoing and active quest of dwelling with man.
Day 6
July 26, 2024 • Nathan Burke
Victory family, what an honor it is to consecrate ourselves as the beautiful body of Christ Jesus our Lord in a time such as this. I often think about God’s infinite understanding and His eyes roaming to and fro throughout the earth and seeing all the wicked in it. I imagine the eyes of the Lord growing tired as they roam the earth, until His eyes lay ahold of a hungry heart that has been standing at attention, waiting for the day to lock eyes with the King of Glory. As their eye’s lock, the storm of the Lord is kindled, and His presence ferociously gallops toward the heart, body and soul consecrated unto Him. Then, in his passionate love, He fills this living sanctuary with his glory. In this fast, “A Living Sanctuary,” my declaration is this, “Here I am, Lord. Indwell in me and fill me afresh with your glory for your names sake!”
Day 5
July 25, 2024 • Pastor Bren Gibbs
God longs to dwell with His people. It is His heart and His desire to do so, but there is a standard and model to which must be met. God does not dwell just anywhere. There are places that His presence can be graciously experienced and mercifully encountered, but the abiding place of God takes commitment, upkeep and sacrifice.
Day 4
July 24, 2024 • Kodi Sells
The Lord is the beginning and the end, and He’s right there in the midst with us. Keep surrounding yourselves with His presence and posturing yourselves in worship before Him! He is ALL you need.
Day 3
July 23, 2024 • Shane Tenney
What comes to my mind when I think about making ourselves a living sanctuary is the indwelling of the Spirit of God. Part of the mystery of the Gospel is that the Father would fill His creation with His very own Spirit, because of the work of the cross that the Lord Jesus accomplished for us. We, being earthly vessels; have become partakers of the Divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). The same Spirit that raised Christ from the grave lives in you and me
(Romans 8:11). Praise God! What an honor that is! When we declare, “Make me a living sanctuary,” we are coming into agreement with what the Father has ordained for those who believe in His Son. We become the sanctuary for Him.
Day 2
July 22, 2024 • Debbie Dailey
There are many things competing for our attention: personal events (past and present), politics, economy, ethics, wars and rumors of wars, anti-biblical worldviews and church doctrines, and antichrist principalities and powers, just to name a few. However, when our thoughts are on these and not on who we are as sons and daughters of the Most High God, it’s time to pause and remember that we are the temple of God and His Spirit dwells in us. During this time of fasting let us purposely lay hold of knowing we are a living sanctuary.
Day 1
July 21, 2024 • Pastor Brian Gibbs
What comes to mind when you hear the word, “Sanctuary?” In centuries past, the landscape of nations, including America, have seen structures of magnificent workmanship, pristine architecture, beautiful art and décor that have created a space for worship and communion with God. Sanctuaries used to be known as a house of prayer and reverential worship.
