#1: "Step Into The Story"

February 5, 2023 • Cameron Parkhurst

People tend to approach the scriptures in various ways, but one thing is certain: the Bible presents itself as one unified story. This story is so much bigger and better than how we may have been seeing it. What has God been after since the beginning of the universe? And how can we begin to live in this story? DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#2: "Saved"

February 12, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst

The Kingdom of Heaven is here, and through Jesus we can be SAVED from the consequences of sin + death! But... what does it really mean to put our faith in Jesus, and what actually happens when we do? There are lies and half-truths about salvation that MUST be torn down. DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#3: "Adopted"

February 19, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst

When a person puts their faith in Jesus, they don't just move from death to life; they are adopted into God's family! This is not metaphor: God actually wants to relate to us as "Father". Everything changes when we understand what life should look like for the true children of God. DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#4: "Receive"

February 26, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst

Receiving Jesus is a lot more than just praying a prayer or "accepting him into your heart". We are raised to LIFE when we acknowledge Jesus as Savior AND Lord, and receive his life into ours. DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#5: "The Crucified Life"

March 12, 2023 • Jonah Salyers

"When Christ calls a man, he bids him to come and die." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer If we want to identify with Jesus in his resurrected life, we must also be willing to crucify ourselves with him so that he may live in us and through us. Abundant life is waiting for us if we would only pick up our cross and consider ourselves dead to everything else as we follow Jesus. DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#6: "Union"

March 19, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst

Jesus promised his followers "life, and life in its ABUNDANCE".... So why is it that so few of us actually experience this "fullness" of life in the day-to-day? We only begin to receive it when we understand that we have been brought into UNION with Jesus, and he wants to live his life in us and through us. DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#7: "Being Like Jesus"

March 26, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst

Many people have adopted the mindset of making sure they are "being a good Christian", but religion never brings L I F E. God does desire that we would become like Jesus, but not by human effort. In the words of Jesus, "the one who lives in me will produce much fruit, because you can do nothing without me." DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.

#8: "Future Glory"

April 2, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst

This is one of the questions that has haunted every human that has ever lived: "What happens after I die?" Although the world seems unstable and unpredictable, followers of Jesus know that the End has already been decided. For those in Christ, it's unending joy and pleasure, reigning with God in a new heaven & a new earth. For those who reject Jesus' free offer of life, it's unending punishment outside the presence of God. DECONSTRUCTION // We're asking Jesus to tear down anything we've been believing that didn't come from him. In a culture that prioritizes comfort over everything, we want to earnestly and selflessly follow Jesus in full obedience.
