It's easy to see in the Scriptures that fasting was something that was very common for the ancient Hebrew, and a discipline that Jesus clearly expected his followers to participate in. What did fasting mean for them, and what value does it hold in the life of a modern-day follower of Jesus?

"Privileged to Serve"
March 5, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst
There are no feelings of obligation when it comes to serving in our family. We believe the church cannot function by the vocations of a few, but only by the commitment and sacrifice of the many, and we believe it is a privilege to be a part of what God is doing in our church and in our community. The heart of serving is to become like Jesus and to open the way for others to experience him.
"Next Level" // 11th Anniversary
June 4, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst • Philippians 3
As a church, we don't ever want to be satisfied. We resonate with Paul's words in Philippians: "Not that I have already reached the goal or am already perfect, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus." We press on fervently toward the goal of knowing Jesus fully and the prize of eternity with him.
// 11 YEARS
God has been making something beautiful in our church family throughout the 11 years of its life. This family is a gift we should be thanking God for every day! Jesus is faithful in every way, and as good as the last 11 years have been, we know that the future is bright and the best is yet to come.
"Celebrating Giving"
August 6, 2023 • Brad Parkhurst
There are 2300 verses of scripture that talk about money, next to only 500 on prayer and 500 on faith. Wealth is so heavily discussed in scripture because it can be a great tool when it is held loosely with open hands, but there is also the high potential of it poisoning your heart and ruling your life. Jesus calls us not into a burden of religion, but into the FREEDOM and JOY that generosity brings.
"No Kezazah Today"
November 5, 2023 • Kevin Pounds • Luke 15
In Jewish culture, when a son brings dishonor on a family, they participate in a ceremony known as "Kezazah" where they smash a clay pot at his feet and cast him out from the community. Seeking to paint a clear picture what God is like, Jesus tells a story of a father who is willing to take on the shame of his kid to welcome him back into the family.
