3:20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.

Do not love the world

1 John 2:15-16. 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. Gen 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Legalism vs leniency 1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.
