Easter Season 2021

April 4, 2021 - May 16, 2021

Pentecost Sunday

May 23, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

The Holy Spirit wants to fill your heart and life today! Will you let her?

Ascension Sunday

May 16, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

Jesus ascended to heaven 40 days after Easter - yet that is not the end of God's story! Jesus prays for us, blesses us, and promises us the gift of the Spirit. Artwork Credit: This is part of the "JESUS MAFA" series of 65 paintings. JESUS MAFA is a response to the New Testament readings from the Lectionary by a Christian community in Cameroon, Africa. Each of the readings was selected and adapted to dramatic interpretation by the community members. Photographs of their interpretations were made, and these were then transcribed to paintings.

All God's Children

May 9, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

We celebrate Mother's Day today by giving thanks to our Heavenly Parent, who teaches us to love all of God's children.

Abiding in God's Love

May 2, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

Abiding in the "vine" means living our lives connected fully to God's love and sharing it with others. But what does that really mean?

Truth and Action

April 25, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

John calls us to love others with truth and action. How have you experienced God's love through others? How do you feel called to embody Christ's love with your whole being?

Because He Lives!

April 18, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

The Risen Christ is alive, and present with us! May we find peace and confidence in the knowledge that we are not alone. This week, please consider a second-mile gift to support Native American Ministries Sunday.

With Great Power

April 11, 2021 • Rev. Kristie Grimaud

We say "welcome home" this Easter Season, because all are welcome in God's family. Worship this week is led by brothers and sisters throughout our California-Pacific Annual Conference.

Easter Sunday

April 4, 2021 • Revs. Erin & Matt McPhee

What a joy it is to be able to worship the Risen Lord together on this beautiful Easter Sunday! As we join together as one family in Christ, we give thanks that God’s grace and love are for everyone, and we seek to witness to the Good News alongside the women who witnessed the empty tomb.
