Our relationship with God is a true friendship. It is a mutual relationship that is initiated by Jesus, and is covenantal and everlasting, signed in Jesus’ blood. This friendship is a sacrificial relationship because Jesus laid down his life. Finally, it is also a relationship of trust, God considers us his partners and co-workers.
