Jesus’ first recorded miracle in the gospels was unplanned. In fact, it was seemingly not even His Father’s will. It was, however, His mother’s will. So why did it happen? This week we start a two-part message on the wedding event in John 2, unpacking the most interesting dynamic between Jesus and His mother, Mary. Join us for the message entitled: “The Right Relationship.”
When reading any story details matter, setting, characters, conflict, climax, narration, and even the unexpected plot twist, which draws us further into the narrative. Combining all these elements reveal a central message, a theme that tells the reader what the story is ultimately about; we approach reading the Bible similarly. There is beauty in admiring the texture and details of a tree, but the view of the forest is an inspiring panoramic perspective. Join us this Sabbath as we rediscover that big picture story found in Scripture, the need of a Savior.
