This is an appeal to the church to seek the Lord concerning the place of fasting in breaking through the darkness that engulfs our state and our nation on the issue of abortion. I believe that we can ask the church not only to fast in general for a great awakening in our country but also to fast specifically for the safety of our children.

Of all the obstacles to prayer, some fall under the question, why pray? And some fall under the question of how to pray. I want to focus on the how. Not that the questions of why are unimportant, but I think we can have all our theological answers in order as to why pray and still be very careless in the life of prayer. So I will give a short answer to the question why, and then focus on the practical how questions. I want to stir you up to seek new levels of “being persistent in prayer” in 2023.
