Secret Sister Ministry ALL FORMS NEED TO BE COMPLETED BY OCTOBER 18, 2024 TO SIGN-UP

This program will begin in November 2024 and run through April 2025

for all women of Unity Family Church.

Secret Sisters is a ministry between you and another Sister in our church family. You become her silent prayer partner and her secret encouragement for 5 months. She doesn't know who you are, but she will know you are there, and praying for her and her needs.

Secret Sisters is about encouraging, supporting, and edifying one another in prayer as well as with personal notes, cards and small gifts. It is my hope that during these months your prayer life will bring you into a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ as you lift your sister and her needs up.

Each participant will need to read the Guidelines and register by filling out a Secret Sister Questionnaire Sheet. Each participant will be matched up with a Secret Sister and given a copy of her Questionnaire Sheet to give you some insight into her likes and

most of all her prayer requests.

GUIDELINES

1. Know that this is a commitment to lift up your Secret Sister in

prayer on a regular basis for 5 months. If you are unable to fulfill this commitment, please contact Tiauna Kimbrough so that your Sister can be reassigned. Praying regularly for her will strengthen you just as much as it will benefit her.

2. Encourage her. Send cards, notes, etc. at least once a month (more often if possible!).

3. Remember your Secret Sister on her special occasions. Mark specific dates on your calendar; include her birthday, anniversary,

etc., as well as the holidays.

4. Keep her a secret! Don't let her know who you are! Then we'll have a fun Secret Sister Reveal Party! Here you will bring her

your final, very special card and gift.

5. Any new women who join our church during this 5 month period

are welcome to become a participant. Please contact me and you will be paired up with the next available participant.

Ideas for encouragement: ANYTHING FROM THE HEART!

Cards, thoughtful notes, poems, bookmarks, a journal, or maybe her favorite candy bar, or snack can be a delightful surprise. Review her

questionnaire to get an idea, and remember to keep gifts small.

How to get things to her (secretly)?You can send cards through the mail. (TIP: You may want to disguise your handwriting.) To insure anonymity, use the church's address for a return address:

You can also bring cards or gifts to the church and leave them in the

Secret Sister Basket that will be the entry before the Sanctuary. (TIP: To

ensure secrecy, have someone else make the drop for you.)

FOR THE SISTER WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHO IS PRAYING FOR HER

As your needs for prayer change or when you wish to leave your praying

sister a 'thank-you' card or a 'praise report' note, there will be a Secret

Sisters mailbox where you can leave cards and messages. This box will ber

located in the entryway before the sanctuary with these notes and

cards simply address them: TO , FROM . These cards will be forwarded to the sister who is praying for you.

Ladies, please look at this as an opportunity to strengthen and grow the

prayer lives and fellowship of our church's sisterhood. Thank you for

choosing to participate in this important, uplifting, and fun ministry! We may

send an occasional email or post in our church's mobile app or Facebook page reminding you to remember your sister.

*** VERY IMPORTANT: If, for whatever reason, you are unable to keep this commitment, we understand, but please contact Rachel or Tiauna so that we can reassign as necessary. Also, If you do not hear from your Secret Sister for a period of 6 - 8 weeks contact Rachel or Tiauna
