Urgency of Today

An urgency exists while it is still called 'today' to respond in faithful submission to the Lordship of Jesus. The letter to the Hebrews cautions us not to harden our hearts against God and we have not been promised 'tomorrow'.

Both David (Psalm 11) and Solomon (Proverbs 9) agree 'Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.' Reverence, respect or honor is the type of fear they speak of and it is still the source of wisdom today. Jesus addressed the need for proper recognition and honor for God as not in conflict when a believer 'renders to Caesar' what is due... specifically, for services rendered.

Life is challenging and the Christian must be cautious to ensure decisions and actions in life parallel the expectations of God. In order to honor God it is necessary to exercise diligence in faith in all life matters.

Christ alone provides us with confidence. Scripture is filled with numerous examples of the faithfulness of Jesus, which provides strength, encouragement & confidence for us when we place our trust in Him.
