Christians are commissioned by Jesus to go out to those who are outside the faith and share the Gospel. In a parable, Jesus used the example of a shepherd and a flock of sheep to illustrated the urgency of going to the lost. In the account, the shepherd left 99 sheep for the sake of finding and restoring 1 sheep which was lost.

Results are measurable. For a congregation to determine if it is actually growing it is necessary to compare rate of growth to the rate of community growth. Dr. Thom Rainer employs a national average of +/-5% rate of growth as a standard and estimates only 10% of congregations are actually growing at or above that average rate.

Reaching people with the Gospel of Christ is the 'Prime Objective' of the Church. Sadly, most congregations fall into the trap of becoming comfortable with the status quo, or with an inward, congregation based, focus. Some congregations are good at reaching people, but fail to connect them with others and equip them to reach out. Our goal is to find the 'sweet spot' by reaching people, then equipping them to reach others.

Resurrection is the foundation of Christian faith and it is the heart of our message. Peter and the other Apostles based their message at Pentecost upon the hope & power of Christ revealed in His resurrection. Christianity is unique among all other beliefs in not having a tomb to commemorate the final resting place of it's founder because Christ is alive!
