Respect for the authority of Christ is shown in a number of ways, first but submitting to Him as Lord. Another way is for women to recognize the structure of authority God has designed: God over Christ, Christ over Man, Man over Woman. Another crucial means of recognizing the headship of Christ is through modesty, as we discuss in this message.

No matter how 'good' we think we are, our perception of righteousness does not compare to the standard by which all mankind will be judged... Jesus. Ultimately, the headship of Jesus in our personal life is evidenced by how we live. To be properly attired we must be cleansed by Christ's blood and 'clothed with Christ'.

God created a distinction between male and female. Mankind, being created in the image of God, violates the headship of Christ by not preserving the distinction between masculine & feminine traits. In a culture which strives to erase gender distinction, it is all the more important to preserve these traits.

Headship of Christ • May 7, 2017 • R. Chip Denief
Biblical authority is well established with Christ as head over man, man as head over woman and God as head of Christ. Cultural shifts away from this structure have created negative impact in a number of areas, including the home & Church. However, salvation cannot exist without submission to the Lordship of Jesus as Christ.
