John 2:1-11

I. Need, Greed or Seed

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work”

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

“Remove falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches – feed me with the food allotted to me; lest I be full and deny You, and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God”

Proverbs 30:8-9

“The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook”

I Kings 17:6

”Then as Elijah lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, ‘Arise and eat.’ Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. And he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God”

I Kings 19:5-6,8

II. God Is After Our Hearts

God goes through our treasure to get to our hearts.

“Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”

Acts 2:21

“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him”

2 Chronicles 16:9

When I touch God, He immediately touches me back.
