Overcoming Fear

I Timothy 6:17-19

I. Trust God

God is our refuge and strength. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea.
Psalm 46:1-2

With the Lord on my side, I do not fear.
Psalm 118:6

Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

II. Offer Gratitude

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I Thessalonians 5:16-18

III. Live a life of service and generosity to others

3. Simplify your lifestyle (live below your means). Matthew 6:19-33

4. Establish an emergency fund. Proverbs 21:20

5. Pay off your credit cards, use cash/debit cards for purchases, and use credit wisely. Proverbs 22:7

6. Practice long-term savings and investing habits. I Timothy 6:9-12; Luke 14:28
