Day 57: When You Don’t Know What to Do—Choose Life

In Deuteronomy 30, Moses lays out a powerful message from God: “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life…” (v. 19). This was not just a one-time decision for the Israelites—it was a heart posture, a daily choice to walk in obedience, trust, and relationship with God.

Then in chapter 31, we hear the famous words spoken to Joshua: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you” (v. 6). These two messages—Choose life and Be strong—are the heartbeat of today’s devotional.

As moms, we stand at many crossroads: decisions about parenting, relationships, career, family rhythms, and our spiritual walk. Sometimes it’s overwhelming, and we don’t feel very strong. But God’s word is clear: when we choose Him, we’re choosing life. And He promises to go with us—to never leave or forsake us—as we move forward in faith.

You don’t have to figure it all out. You just need to choose life today—choose obedience, choose surrender, choose joy, choose trust. That’s strength in God’s eyes.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving me the power to choose. Today, I choose life. I choose to follow You, to walk in obedience even when it’s hard, and to trust that You are with me. Strengthen me with courage, and help me remember that You go before me and will never leave me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
