What is God’s vision for your life? Many Christians wonder about this question, but God clearly tells us in His Word that He has one goal for our lives - that we be conformed into likeness of His Son Jesus (Romans 8:28-29). This week, Brian Barr kicked off a new sermon series covering the second “C” in OneLife’s grid for what it means to be a disciple of Jesus - Conform. As followers of Jesus, we are called to give our lives completely to following Jesus and becoming like Him in every area of our lives. We are not to be mere church attenders. We must leave our infantile ways, and grow up into maturity in Christ. But for that to happen, we must focus our lives on Jesus. Too often Christians focus on themselves when it comes to change. The first step to truly becoming like Jesus is to come to Him. We must learn to abide with Jesus, and to fix your eyes on Him. True transformation will happen when our aim and our focus is set on the person God intends for us to be conformed to.
