Today Is Scout Sunday

Today, we welcome Troop 30 and Pack 330 to help lead our worship service. The Troop is over 100 years old and presently has approximately 10 active Scouts. One of the Scouts just became the 156th Eagle Scout of the Troop last month and another Scout is scheduled to become the 157th Eagle Scout. The Scouts continue to camp monthly, including an annual 35-mile/5 day backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. The Scouts also participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year and meet weekly during the school year.

Souper Bowl Luncheon, Today, 12:00 pm

Stay after worship today and join us for the Souper Bowl luncheon in the TCLC.

Ash Wednesday, February 18

We will have two services for your convenience: 12:00 (Noon) and 7:00 pm. Both services will be in the Chapel. We will also have a pancake supper (5:30-6:30) in the TCLC.

Noon Lenten Services

During the season of Lent, we will have services in the Chapel on Wednesdays (12:00-12:30) followed by lunch (12:30) in the TCLC. If there is a group that would like to provide lunch, please call the office (252-752-3101) with your preference of a date - February 25, March 4, 11, 18 or 25. Thank you for your generosity!

Upward Volunteer Opportunities

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading Game Days began on Saturday, January 10, 2026 and will continue through Saturday, February 28. Please consider volunteering for many opportunities by signing up on the recent EBLAST. If you do not receive the Eblast, please contact the office.

Did You Know?

There are several calendars in our daily lives. The Christian Church has one as well. Currently, we are in the Christmas Cycle, with Advent, Christmas and Epiphany. The colors of the altar cloth, the lectern and pulpit, and stoles worn by clergy and choir are significant to the seasons. Purple or Blue are for Advent, symbolizing penitence, royalty (purple) and hope (blue.) Christmas and other festive days are white or gold. Epiphany uses the color green, meaning growth. As we approach each service this Epiphany season, how are you challenging yourself for personal and spiritual growth?

Manna Bag Ministry: Each day an average of 25 Manna Bags are given to those in need from our front door. Feel free to bring items to the church office or send them directly from your preferred delivery service/retail. We thank you for your generosity.
