Verse of the Day~

In that day the mountains will drip new wine,

and the hills will flow with milk;

all the ravines of Judah will run with water.

A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house

and will water the valley of acacias. (Joel 3:18)

Prayer~

Jesus, Life feels dry to me right now, but I know You promise overflowing joy. Send it to me, and help me enjoy it. I pray in Your name, Amen.

Special Note~

Our Deacons Fund assists families from the church and community during times of financial distress. We have sadly had to turn several people away in the last two weeks, so we hope you will give generously as you are able to replenish the fund.

Meeting Jesus ~

Sorry seems to be the hardest word, especially when we’re saying it to God. This Sunday at 10 a.m. in worship, our “Honesty in Prayer: The Book of Psalms” worship series comes to the Psalms of Penitence. Our worship includes our annual Service of Remembrance, a Celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and Erika Fishkin, singing, "Better Than I."

Meeting Friends ~

Our First Church Concert Series continues on November 2nd at 4 pm in the First Church sanctuary with a time of praise and worship led by the First Church Praise Band. If you like a little guitar and drums with your praise music, this is your chance to sing along with brothers and sisters from around the Ark Valley. Join us, and bring a friend!

Sharing Hope ~

We will dedicate our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes on November 16th in worship. If you are putting together your own box, please bring it that day. Otherwise, the Southern Baptist church on Smithland will be open to accept boxes November 17-21. If you need a shoebox to pack, there are still some available in the narthex. Let’s bless some kids this year with God’s love!
