Have you ever been forgotten? Cue traumatic childhood story... but seriously, being forgotten feels horrible. The thing about forgetting is it means to omit or neglect things UNINTENTIONALLY. When we forget something or someone, it's never on purpose... but it still hurts. In Isaiah, the Bible tells us that God will NEVER forget us. We're always on His mind. Here are some key takeaways:

1. Consequences do not mean neglect.

- Consequences are the results of an action… not of God’s neglect.

- Sin separates us from God, so whenever we sin, we have to repent and turn back to Him.

- Some consequences are not always a result of your actions; sometimes we have consequences for someone else's actions in our lives. That's not God's fault, and He wants to help us through those.

- God is more drawn to you than a mom to her newborn.

2. You are inscribed in God’s hands.

- Some translations replace inscribed with etched, meaning it's not removable.

- Your hands are the most visible part of the body to you.

- There's power in God’s hands:

• Creation: God’s hands formed the universe and each and every person.

• Protection & Deliverance

• Restoration & Rebuilding

3. God does not forget us, even if we forget Him.

- Sometimes, we feel forgotten by God when in reality, we’ve forgotten Him.

- We don’t forget He exists, but sometimes we forget His attributes.

- Think of the Prodigal son story in Luke 15. Verses 31-32 is how God the Father views us. The father in Luke 15 never forgot his son, and God never forgets you.

Even when we forget His promises or drift away, God never forgets us.
