This July, we’re diving into some of today’s most pressing and polarizing cultural topics—and asking, What does God’s Word actually say? In Can We Talk About It?, we’ll unpack issues like politics, gender identity, pornography, and suffering through a biblical lens, offering truth with grace and clarity in a world full of noise.

Series Schedule:

July 6: Politics

Do politics and faith mix? When is it appropriate and when is it potentially dangerous? Was Jesus political? Can we turn people off to faith when we combine politics and religion too tightly? What should our main focus be in life? Is a politician the answer to our problems?

July 13: Gender Identity

God created male and female. The world has distorted God’s order of biology. God loves everyone, but He created things the way He did for a reason. To go against how God created you is to say God created a mistake. Check good resources for material.

July 20: Pornography

Pornography is only a click or tap away. It distorts a healthy view of sexuality. It degrades those who participate. It leads to broken marriages and other harmful sexual sins. The addiction can be worse than a substance addiction because of what it does in the brain. Check book “Unwanted” for material.

July 27: Where’s God in Suffering

Why is there evil in this world? Why is there suffering? Why would a good God allow all this? Why does He allow it in people who are true to Him? How do we process when He doesn’t answer the way we hoped?
