Have you ever been trusted with something really valuable? Maybe a friend handed you the keys to their brand-new truck, or your boss left you in charge while they went on vacation. It feels exciting… but also a little nerve-wracking, doesn’t it? Because deep down you know, hat’s been entrusted to you isn’t really yours. You’re just managing it until the owner comes back.

That’s the heartbeat of Jesus’ parable of the talents. He tells a story of servants who are each given something valuable by their master. Some step out with boldness, multiply what they’ve been given, and hear those words we all long for: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Others let fear, excuses, or complacency rob them of the opportunity.

Over the next four weeks, we’re going to unpack this story piece by piece. We’ll discover what it means to be entrusted by God with time, talent, and resources, not to bury them in the ground, but to put them to work for His glory.
