Are you stuck? Are you crying to be rescued from the cords of death? Good news! God’s right there, and waiting for your beep! He will clear out the hairballs and detangle you from the cords and set you back on your right path if only you will ask Him!

PRAYER POINT

“Compassionate Father, we cry out to You for mercy. We so easily get distracted and try to go our own way or get out of a sticky situation on our own instead of turning to You. Please forgive us for continually getting stuck and tangled in the things of this world, or like Mrs. Doubtfire, keep moving forward in a way that is not Your way. Holy Spirit, we invite You to show us the way forward. We relinquish our stubbornness and submit to Your leading. Thank You for always saying yes to helping us when we ask - it may not look like what we want, but Your ways are good and perfect. You are gracious. You are righteous. You are holy. Always. We are so thankful for that! Amen.”

Study Psalm 116.

WALK IT OUT

As you study through Psalm 116, make a list of the ways God has heard your cries and rescued you, brought you rest, given you protection, compassion, and grace. Lift your thanksgiving to Him in remembering! Post it on your mirror or your fridge or even the visor of your car, or make it your screen saver - but post it in a place you can see and remember and give thanks!

When we focus on the ways God has rescued and showered us with grace and compassion, I think we are almost driven to share with others. Listen for opportunities to connect with others, and as they are sharing their stories with you, notice and praise God for how He is working in their lives.
