MINISTRY MOMENT

If you are in the middle of something hard, difficult, or draining—the encouragement to you today is to change your mindset from straining like the disciples were in the middle of a lake in Mark Chapter 6, to stepping like Peter did in Matthew Chapter 14. God doesn’t intend for you to be stuck in the middle of something to feel drained, but He is inviting you to start stepping towards Him while in the middle!

PRAYER POINT

“Jesus, thank You for the times that I have been in the middle of something feeling stuck and straining, because You see me in my straining. The majesty of the middle is that before I start taking a step towards You—You start stepping towards me and are with me in the middle. May I be reminded today that I am going to make it though because of Your mercy in the middle. I am standing strong on You! In Jesus’ name, Amen!”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study Mark 6:45-52 and Matthew 14:25-31.

WALK IT OUT

To really start changing our mindset in the middle from “straining” to “stepping,” put into practice the cycle of SEEKING out God. Once you seek out God for whatever situation, season, or struggle you may be in—anticipate God to SPEAK. Once God speaks and gives you a Word or a command it is now our turn to STEP. If you are struggling in the middle—SEEK God, listen for God to SPEAK, and then take a STEP.
