* She comes “with her maidens,” meaning she is not alone—witnesses to the event.

* She bathes at the river rather than a palace bathhouse—an unusual choice for royalty.

* She “sees” (wattireh) the basket—before seeing the child.

* The basket is not drifting—it is right where Jochebed positioned it.

b. Response of Compassion (v. 6a)(v. 3b) – The pagan heart stirred by divine mercy.
