Think about all the voices trying to tell us what’s true today—culture, social media, personal feelings, even traditions. It’s easy to get overwhelmed or confused about what to believe. But the passage we read reminds us that all Scripture came from God and carries His full authority. Unlike the shifting opinions of the world, God’s word doesn’t change—it’s steady, trustworthy, and true. When you’re unsure about what’s right or how to live, the Bible gives clear direction. It reflects God’s unchanging truth. Today, we will talk about why Scripture stands as the final authority of our lives.

𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱.

The words of the Bible are not just human ideas or opinions. According to 2 Peter 1:21, the authors were carried along by the Holy Spirit, so what they wrote was what God wanted to say. A known theologian pointed out that to believe or disbelieve the Bible is to believe or disbelieve God. Because the Bible is God’s word, we’re called to trust and submit to its full teaching—not just the parts we like. God speaks to us through Scripture. How do you believe God has spoken to you through His word?

God’s word isn’t just meant to inform us; it is meant to transform us. The goal isn’t just to know more facts, but to be shaped by the word, so that we 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦, 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬. Scripture trains us to live like Jesus. It teaches us what is true, it corrects us when we’re wrong, and it helps us grow in godly character. As we read and obey His word, God makes us more like Christ—not overnight, but little by little, equipping us to reflect Him in everything we do. In what ways has the word of God brought transformation in your life?

In a world of shifting opinions and relative truth, God’s word stands as our unchanging and ultimate standard of truth. Because the Bible is the very word of God, we are to believe it, submit to it, live it out and treasure it above all. As we know God through His word and do what He says, our lives are transformed. When we allow God’s word to shape our thoughts, correct our paths, and train our hearts to reflect Christ, we live lives that bring Him glory and honor.

• Praise God for giving us His word that stands firm and never changes in a world full of lies and confusion. Ask Him to give you a deep love and hunger for His word.

• Pray for God to help you trust and submit to the entirety of His word—not just the parts that are familiar or comfortable. Ask God to use His word to transform you, helping you become more like Jesus in your thoughts, words, and actions.

• Ask God to help you share His word with others this week—encouraging, teaching, and pointing them to Christ.
