Isaiah 53:6 — All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.

24 Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did this so that we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. And we are healed because of his wounds.

25 You were like sheep that went the wrong way. But now you have come back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

John 10

14 I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep, and my sheep know me,

15 just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I give my life for the sheep.

Psalm 23

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Have I submitted my life to The Shepherd?

Am I fully surrendered to The Shepherd?

Sheep are often social animals.

Sheep will settle for less.

Sheep are not meant to carry weighty burdens or heavy loads.

Sheep are not created to stay stationary for too long.

Sheep are often reluctant to go where they can not clearly see.

Sheep struggle with depth perception.

Sheep are often uneasy and skittish in storms.

Sheep do not typically like to drink from rapid or turbulent waters.

Sheep are considered prey animals and cannot typically defend themselves from predators.

Sheep can remember peoples faces and voices.

Sheep have excellent hearing.

The Shepherd

The Good Shepherd WATCHES over me.

The Good Shepherd LEADS me.

The Good Shepherd PROTECTS and PROVIDES for me.

I am the Good Shepherd.
