Day FOURTEEN - JESUS IS OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE HOPE

We put our hope in our Soon-Coming King and His promise of forever.

Imagine a new heaven and a new earth, a holy city where Jesus is our King and every tear is wiped away. This promised inheritance is ours as Christ’s followers. Our hope is not merely in a city, but rather in Jesus Christ, our Soon-Coming King.

Today’s Scripture

“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God, Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’ Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’” —Revelation 21:1-5 (NKJV)

Prayer Guide

Amid so much sorrow, brokenness, and fallenness in this world, may those around us encounter hope now and in the future through Jesus Christ.

Pray for our communities and nations to experience a revival of hope through Jesus Christ as we lift our eyes toward a future day when Jesus returns and makes all things new.

Let’s pray: “Lord, help those who do not have this hope encounter You, the God of hope, through Your Word, Your love expressed by Your followers, Your Holy Spirit, or however You choose to reveal Yourself. Let there be hope!”
