1. Have you ever had a mission to go do something? What was it? (even something crazy like discovering where a long tunnel goes!)

2. If you’re a Jesus-follower, what do you think about the idea that we are to be Jesus’ representatives to the world?

3. Read some of Jesus’ Famous Last Words that are known as “The Great Commission”:

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20)

4. One way we can make disciples is to GO BE disciples. If you’re a Jesus-follower, how are things going for you in being a disciple of Jesus?

5. Russ talked about 3 ways we can GO BE a disciple: Start. Get. Grow.

Start following Jesus: Where are you at in following Jesus? (ex: still considering it, just started recently, been following Jesus for years)

Get baptized: If you’ve been baptized, when was that and what was it like? If you haven’t been baptized, what could help you take that next step?

Grow: What are some ways you’re growing in your journey with God these days?

6. Another way we can make disciples is our simple strategy for growing this church from Class 1: make a friend, share your life with them, invite them to church. There might be people in your life that come to mind for this. Who are they?

7. Take some time to pray for yourself (and for others you’re with) and ask God to help you be a disciple not only so that you can grow on your journey with him, but also so that you can help make disciples. You can also pray for The Meeting Place by asking God to help us live out our vision and mission.
