“THE HEART OF STEWARDSHIP” — A Sermon on Trust & Money

This message explores Jesus’ teaching on stewardship from Matthew 25 and why it’s NOT really about money, it’s about the heart. God owns everything; we simply steward it. And one day, the Owner will return to settle accounts.

Jesus shows that good stewardship leads to joy, while neglecting what God entrusted leads to loss. But the deeper issue? The heart.

“You cannot serve God and mammon.” — Luke 16:13

Money can deceive, greed can pull us from faith, and trust becomes the real challenge. Jesus watched how people gave, not how much (Mark 12). God is drawn to a sacrificial, trusting heart.

Giving works greed out of us and aligns our treasure with our heart.

“God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
