Tracing the story of redemption from its Old Testament roots to its New Testament reality fulfilled in Jesus Christ. This fall, our emphasis will be the Old Testament foundations. Our class will connect the dots of Scripture to uncover the unified narrative of God’s redemptive plan, and how God’s plan began with a couple in a garden, then expanded to a family, a tribe, a nation, a kingdom, and finally to his church.

Our journey through the biblical narrative—following its theological message—will help you appreciate how the 66 books of the Bible fit together by exploring the biblical story in the context in its ancient world. We will learn to appreciate what life was like in antiquity and re

alize the benefits of understanding its culture through its history, literature, geography, and archaeology. Our learning through the weekly lessons will be enhanced with hundreds of photographs of ancient artifacts, illustrations, landscapes, maps, and diagrams to help our comprehension.

Our sessions will trace the scope of salvation history from Eden’s promise in Genesis to the glorious New Heavens and New Earth in Revelation, revealing how Jesus Christ fulfills God’s eternal purpose. But we will see how God revealed all this through the lens of the world of people that lived long ago and far away.
