What does it really mean to follow Jesus—not just believe in Him, but shape our lives around Him?

The Way: An Apprentice to Jesus is a sermon series that invites us into the daily rhythms and practices of life with Christ. Jesus didn’t simply call people to agree with His teaching; He called them to follow Him, to learn His way of life, and to be transformed from the inside out. In this series, we explore what it looks like to apprentice under Jesus—walking where He walked, loving how He loved, and living as He lived.

Each week focuses on a core practice that marked Jesus’ life and forms us as His disciples:

Following — Leaving comfort and control to respond to Jesus’ call (Matthew 4:18–22)

Abiding — Remaining connected to Christ as our true source of life and fruit (John 15:4–9)

Sabbath — Receiving rest as a gift from God, not a reward we earn (Exodus 20:8–11)

Solitude — Stepping away from noise to encounter God’s presence (John 18:1–4)

Prayer — Learning to speak with God in trust, dependence, and intimacy (Luke 11:1–4)

Scripture — Being shaped by God’s Word as truth, guidance, and life (John 10; John 17:17)

Faith — Living with confident trust in God’s power and promises (Mark 11:22–24)

Community — Loving one another in visible, sacrificial ways that reflect Jesus (John 13:34–35; Romans 12:9–13)

Generosity — Giving freely as an act of worship and trust in God’s provision (Mark 12:41–44)

This series is not about adding more religious activity—it’s about becoming more like Jesus. As we learn to practice His way together, we discover a deeper faith, a more rooted life, and a love that points the world to Him.
