PREPARE THE WAY: A CALL TO REPENTANCE AND RENEWAL

3. There is One who is greater.

4. There was conflict and there was the Christ.

b. The faithful witness faces opposition, but Christ is revealed.

c. John confronts sin.

d. Jesus is baptized.

Conclusion:

John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus through preaching repentance, challenging injustice, and pointing people to the Messiah. His message still applies today: repent, bear fruit, look to Jesus.
